The challenge
NLSS 2 Business Trading is a multi-trade contractor in Johannesburg: construction, renovations, plumbing, electrical, painting and maintenance, for homeowners and for commercial property managers.
The work came almost entirely through word of mouth. There was no website, no domain, and nothing to find in local search, so every new enquiry depended on somebody already knowing them. That is a hard way to win commercial contracts, where a buyer checks you exist before they call.
Project overview
A ten-page site built around how a contractor is actually chosen: what they do, who for, what they have finished, and how to reach a human quickly. Trades are set out individually rather than bundled as ‘general contracting’, commercial work has its own page and its own quote path because a property manager asks different questions to a homeowner, and completed work is shown as photographs rather than described. Enquiries route to WhatsApp as well as a form, because that is how most South African customers prefer to start.

What we built
The parts of the system.
We published only the credentials the client could evidence. Where an industry badge or accreditation could not be verified, it was left off the site rather than implied — commercial buyers check, and a claim that does not hold up costs more than it wins.
- Ten pages: home, about, services, commercial property services, projects, gallery, guides, how we work, contact, plus privacy and terms
- A separate commercial page and B2B quote path, for property managers and body corporates
- Trade-by-trade service pages rather than one general contracting page
- A project gallery that shows completed work instead of describing it
- WhatsApp enquiry routing alongside the contact form
- Guides section, so the site can answer questions rather than only advertise
Delivered scope & current status
- Live at nlss2business.co.za, served from Cloudflare’s Johannesburg edge
- Domain registered in the client’s name, with DNS and SSL managed for them
- Google Business Profile set up so the business appears in local search
- Enquiries reaching them by WhatsApp and by form, without an office phone
- A commercial services page aimed at property managers, separate from domestic work
- Under our care plan: updates, monitoring and changes as the business grows
Live and in ongoing care. We have not published visitor or enquiry figures for this project because we do not have measured before-and-after numbers to show — the business had no website previously, so there is nothing honest to compare against.
